Installing a Gutter Brush

By allowing rain water that drops onto the roof to simply drain away from the house, gutters protect the siding, doors, windows and house foundations from water damage while contributing to the prevention of basement flooding. In order to do this important job, downspouts and gutters must be clear of twigs, leaves and other debris. Otherwise, the drain outlets will dam out and rain water will fill the gutters, overflow, and in the long run could pull the gutters loose from their mountings. Gutter Brush can be your best friend in cleaning your gutters as opposed to spending more than a hundred dollars hiring a professional to do the gutter cleaning for you.

Gutter Brush gutter guard installation doesn’t require a genius’ knowledge or a professional’s expertise. As long as you can work safely from a ladder or from your roof, you can do the installation yourself. It is always wise to make sure that the ladder you are going to use is sturdy. Place it on a firm, level base so that it won’t move when you climb up it.

It may be easier to use a tall stepladder than an extension ladder. It is not advisable to lean a ladder against the gutter. But if you really must lean the ladder against a gutter while installing the brush, you should place a short piece of 2 by 4 plastic inside the gutter to protect it from bending. For your safety, you should always stand on the ladder with your hips between the rails. Do not lean out over the sides to avoid falling off the ladder.
